Sauda and Suldal in Ryfylke is a great winter destination, offering Alpine and cross-country skiing as well as winter fishing, ski boat, hiking and more.
Winter is on its way and the path to Preikestolen is covered in snow and ice. It will be dark at approx. 15.00 - 15.30 hrs and we strongly recommend you DONT HIKE the Preikestolen at this time of year.
In Ryfylke you may hear a curious phrase from the locals: “Å bya seg.” It means “to go up to town”. You might hear it when acquaintances meet each other on the ferry, dressed rather nicely and on their way to do some shopping.
