From May through October there are daily bus departures to Preikestolen Fjellstue mountain lodge, from the Tau ferry quay and via Jørpeland. These buses correspond with the ferries from Stavanger.

* Winter season – Skiing in Sauda
Take the “Ski boat”: boat from Stavanger to Sauda, and a corresponding bus to Sauda ski centre. (For details, see Winter).
* Bus schedules for Ryfylke, year round:
Suldal billag operates most routes in Suldal south of the Saudafjord, as well as the Suldal–Røldal buses. Suldal billag also operates buses for Sand – Erfjord – Nesvik, and Hjelmeland on which advance reservations are required.
Boreal Transport Sør AS, Region Østerhus buss operates buses in Strand, Hjelmeland and Forsand, as well as the route from Strand to Forus and Stavanger.
Tide buss operates buses in the Sauda area and Haugesund – Ølen – Sauda.

The “combined ferry” (MS Fjordlys) on the Lysefjord runs every day except Saturdays: Lysebotn – Lauvvik – Stavanger – Fisterøyane – Judaberg. NB! Advance reservations are strongly advised for vehicles. Tel. 916 52 800 Weight limitations.

Kolumbus.no: Information on all bus routes in Rogaland, and express boats in or near Ryfylke. There are four routes between Stavanger and Ryfylke.
Norled.no: Information on ferries in or near Ryfylke. The following ferries take you to the scenic Ryfylke Road, Rv13: Stavanger – Tau, Lauvvik – Oanes, Hjelmeland – Nesvik – Skipavik (Ombo), Sand – Ropeid. Fogn – Judaberg – Nedstrand – Jelsa (Finnøy and northern region).

Free parking is available at all ferry quays, and at most places in Ryfylke where the express boats call.
