Description

Fifty metres from the quay at Lysebotn in Ryfylke, is the former Lyse canteen. Stavanger Hiking Association offers rooms with shower and toilet, or cheaper accommodation in dormitories. Bedclothes and towels can be hired. After dinner in the café you can relax in the lounge.

Many hiking routes
Lysefjorden Tourist Cabin is an outstanding springboard for the hike to Kjerag. In addition, the cabin is one of the highpoints of the Hiking Association’s route “Circuit of Lysefjord”. Preiksestolen (Pulpit Rock) hikers can take the tourist ferry to Lysebotn the same day, sleep at Lysefjorden Tourist Cabin, and then hike to Kjerag next day.

Cafè
We serve homemade breakfast, lunch and dinner and are licensed for beer and wine. The café is open from 8am to 10pm.

Access
Bus or car to Øvre Sirdal, further on the “Lysevegen” road to Lysebotn. Tourist ferry or express catamaran from Stavanger, Lauvvik or Forsand.

Ordinary sleeping bags are not permitted, but you can bring your own bed linen or sheet-sleeping-bag.
