Description

The lodge Preikestolen fjellstue is situated idyllically in the Ryfylke moorlands, overlooking the Refsvatn lake. The lodge is located at the starting point of the hike Preikestolen.

The extraordinary architecture of the building along with the beautiful surroundings in the area, are all important in creating a stimulating visit for the guests. The mountain lodge is a building that meets the standards for accessibility, allergy and environmental demands. In 2009 the lodge received the annual building award (Statens byggeskikkpris) from the Norwegian state. The Preikestolen Mountain Lodge has 27 rooms that are all en suite, a restaurant and a cafeteria, a lounge with fireplace as well as a meeting room. In addition there is the possibility of accommodations in the Pulpit Rock Youth and Family Hostel, with 16 rooms, in Vatnegården there is a dormitory with 24 beds. There is also one cabin for rent.

Preikestolen fjellstue is well-known for its excellent kitchen. Local and seasons' ingredients are in focus. We do our utmost to give you a tasty culinary experience after a day of meetings or a hike to the Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock). You can also try our hot tub and we have put up a big laptent where you can gather around the fireplace.

There are several marked hiking paths in the vicinity, like the path to Preikestolen, Veslebu, Moslifjellet and Gryteknuten. Or take your children on a leisurely walk to a big wooden troll! The nearby lake has a sandy beach and is great for swimming and trout fishing.
